Sascha im Quadrat has been held in the Capitol Mannheim casino since 2012. As has been customary for over a decade, Sascha Kleinophorst, Sascha Krebs, Frank Schäffer and Christof Brill will invite a musical guest once a month in 2026. They will play whatever is fun. Unique cover versions of well-known songs meet incomparable humor.

The series has now achieved cult status - not least because of the ROCKTzuHAUSE streams during the two lockdowns.

Guest in March: Markus Engelstaedter
"Vocal acrobat", "exceptional talent", "singing miracle" - the superlatives used by audiences and the press to describe Markus Engelstaedter are numerous. But he himself sums it up modestly: Singer, musician, entertainer. With a passion for music and the stage that has driven him since childhood.
He picked up the saxophone at the age of seven, discovered his voice a little later and formed his first band at 15. After studying singing at the Music College Regensburg (rock, pop, jazz), Engelstaedter developed into a "vocal chameleon" who moves confidently between rock, pop, soul, jazz and musicals.
His trademark: a four-octave voice full of expressiveness that captivates from the very first note and takes the audience on an emotional journey. Sometimes full of energy, sometimes touchingly quiet - always authentic.
With his show The Magic of Queen, Engelstaedter is one of the most outstanding Queen interpreters in Europe today. He has toured Germany and Europe, made guest appearances in Canada (Rock the Ice) and the USA and performed on stage at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. Whether with orchestra, big band, rock band or purist duo with piano - Engelstaedter loves variety. And he can fill it.
He has also shone as a musical performer in leading and title roles in Jesus Christ Superstar (as Jesus and Judas), The Rocky Horror Show, Xanadu (European premiere), Fame, Linie 1 and Little Shop of Horrors, among others.
Engelstaedter has already shared the stage with international greats such as Thomas Hampson, Chris Thompson, Manfred Mann's Earth Band, The Sweet, Smokie, Electric Light Orchestra, Slade, Suzi Quatro, Reamonn, Mark Schulmann (Pink, Foreigner, Billy Idol, Cher), Laith Al-Deen, Rolf Stahlhofen (Söhne Mannheims) and many more.
He released his debut single Fallin' in 2014 and is currently working on his first solo album.

Who are the Saschas?
Sascha Kleinophorst has already toured with many rock bands, including as frontman of Brass Machine throughout Germany and several appearances at the legendary jazz festival in Montreux. Like his partner in crime Sascha Krebs, he is also a long-standing member of the Capitol Ensemble with a large fan base. The fact that "little Sascha", as Sascha Krebs is also affectionately known, rocks just as much in an intimate setting as he does on the big stages with his band "The Queen Kings" is part of the success of Sascha im Quadrat.
They are congenially accompanied by Frank Schäffer on piano and Christof Brill on guitar! We at Capitol love our boys!
