Sascha im Quadrat has been held in the Capitol Mannheim casino since 2012. As has been customary for over a decade, Sascha Kleinophorst, Sascha Krebs, Frank Schäffer and Christof Brill will invite a musical guest once a month in 2026. They will play whatever is fun. Unique cover versions of well-known songs meet incomparable humor.

The series has now achieved cult status - not least because of the ROCKTzuHAUSE streams during the two lockdowns.

Guest in May: Christoph Melzer
A versatile and virtuoso guitar player, a clear singing voice with high recognition value or simply a singer/songwriter and lyricist ... Christoph Melzer is difficult to pigeonhole into just one musical image. With bands such as Tuxedo Club, Shebeen and The Wright Thing, he has become a familiar sight on the stages of the metropolitan region, and he gained national recognition as a guitarist on the TV format "Xavier's Wish Concert" and alongside Rolf Stahlhofen (Söhne Mannheims).
He used the forced break caused by the pandemic to start his own YouTube channel for guitar tutorials.
In 2022, shortly after the clubs opened, he went on tour with German singer-songwriter Matze Rossi and has been accompanying Laith Al-Deen at unplugged concerts since 2023.
In his latest project, "Christoph Melzer's Folknight", he returns to his musical roots and revives the most beautiful folk songs of the 60s and 70s.

Who are the Saschas?
Sascha Kleinophorst has already been on the road with many rock formations, including appearances as frontman of the Brass Machine throughout Germany and several times at the legendary jazz festival in Montreux. Like his partner in crime Sascha Krebs, he is also a long-standing member of the Capitol Ensemble with a large fan base. The fact that "little Sascha", as Sascha Krebs is also affectionately known, rocks just as much in an intimate setting as he does on the big stages with his band "The Queen Kings" is part of the success of Sascha im Quadrat.
They are congenially accompanied by Frank Schäffer on piano and Christof Brill on guitar! We at Capitol love our boys!
