Anyone who follows the Theaterschiff's schedule will already know them: Timofey Sattarov and Bernd Gesell from the Laccasax trio, which provided musical world music explosions in the French Church and on the Theaterschiff. Alexej Wagner introduced himself to the Potsdam audience with his outstanding skills at the Jazzzaubernacht (2). And now, for the first time, the three can be experienced as a trio, presenting their own compositions and interpreting the music they have collected from around the world. The audience can look forward to another concert in a class of its own.
Alexey Wagner
The guitarist, composer and arranger Alexey Wagner was born in Barnaul, Siberia. He has had classical guitar lessons since the age of ten. He won several music competitions and was a concert guitarist at the State Philharmonic Orchestra of the Altai region. He moved to Berlin in 2000 and studied jazz and pop music at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music. He combines a classical guitar background with modern jazz, Balkan music, flamenco and Brazilian sounds. He is a member of the ensemble "Euphoria".
Bernd Gesell
After his career as a guitarist and bassist in various folk bands, he studied bass.
He was a member of various bands in the genres of chanson, jazz, world music and worked in theater projects, as a musician at the Deutsches Theater and at the Volksbühne. He has toured Europe and the USA with the bands JAMS, Folkrock Katjusha Kozubek, Klezmer Juhle- Manger- Jazzband, Jazzin Hot Fellows, Swing& Latin Würzebesser Quartett, Modern Jazz Quinteto, Tango Nuevo Leipzig, Rüdiger Oppermanns "Karawane", Worldmusic KaroVan, Armenian Folk Jazz Grand Orchester Berlin. He is a member of the DT Jazzband and Trio Laccasax.
He is one of the most sought-after German bassists. He performed with the Trio Laccasax at "Unzähmbar- Klassik und Lyrik für den Frieden".
Timofey Sattarov
studied accordion at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin. He has worked with the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, the Semperoper Dresden, the Neukölln Opera, the Berliner Ensemble, the Bavarian State Opera in Munich and the Baletto Civile in Parma, Italy. He has won numerous accordion competitions and has performed in France, Italy, Luxembourg, Russia, Switzerland and Iraq. He was a scholarship holder of the "Yehudi Menuhin Live Musik Now" association. He is co-founder of the trio "Laccasax", for which he arranged and composed numerous pieces. His solo album "Hyperbole" was released in 2022. He is co-founder of the "Kapelle Strock", which is dedicated specifically to Russian tango and is making it popular again on the European stage.
He has long been dedicated to improving the reputation of the accordion in the classical scene.
He performed with the Laccasax trio at concerts for "Unzähmbar- Klassik & Lyrik für den Frieden" 2023.
He composed much of the music for the project "Was bleibt, sind die Worte".
