An Apartment in the City is dedicated to the question of how spaces store and pass on memories. In their new performance, Magdalena Mitterhofer and Shade Théret explore the ways in which spaces are shaped and
how they are charged with mythical meaning. Which traces are inscribed in their architecture and which are forgotten over time?
The two performers use poetic, gestural and vocal strategies, often with the help of restaging, deconstruction and digital fragmentation. The reduced spatial structure of their performances makes complex emotional tensions physically and visually tangible. The result is a poetic space for a collective examination of vulnerability, power and representation.

With SCAFFOLDING, Künstler:innenhaus Bremen presents a new exhibition series with a focus on performance, which takes place between dismantling and installation in the empty gallery space.
