Finally time for a poetry slam at the Pink Palace again! Düsseldorf's youngest poetry slam found a home in the Theatermuseum almost 2.5 years ago and takes place there regularly every 1st Thursday of the month. The July edition is once again dedicated to the fresh voices of the scene! All the poets have been performing on the country's slam stages for a maximum of two years, but have already impressed us with their eloquence. Do you want to accompany the stars of tomorrow as they take their first steps? Then you've come to the right place!

What kind of show is it actually? A poetry slam is a modern poetry competition which, despite its Unesco World Heritage status, follows very simple rules: Self-written texts are performed on stage without props or music and the audience decides who wins the evening.

What the artists bring to the stage is entirely up to them. So it can be crackingly funny or magically tender, political or funny or serious... or all of the above. Whether poetry, prose or somewhere in between, everything is allowed at a poetry slam.
