"Vacation with the parents. We are sitting at the airport 5 (!) hours before departure, and mother is desperate because she has printed out the boarding passes on A3 and thinks that we are therefore not allowed to fly."

This is how Leipzig-based stand-up comedian and author André Herrmann began the documentation of his trip with his parents, which went viral within a very short time. Under the hashtag #UmdE, he reported for eight days on the impassability of their journey together and quickly inspired a huge following, so that in the end over 1 million people were reading along on the Internet every day.

This year's Cammerspiele summer theater goes on vacation with the Herrmann family. With plenty of humor and a fine sense for bizarre situations, the evening tells the story of the three travelers. The son, who didn't actually want to travel with his parents, senses that something has shifted along the way. As a self-appointed tour guide, he takes responsibility for his sometimes seemingly helpless parents and guides them through many a tricky situation. Where his parents used to look after him, it is now he who looks after them like his "little rascals". Was traveling together perhaps not such a bad idea after all?
