In this workshop course, participants are given the opportunity to discuss work samples from a longer project in the group and to engage constructively with current research and writing processes. Questions about the organization of writing processes, plot structure, dramaturgy and timing can be just as important as decisions about the choice of perspective and character design, stylistic aspects or the exchange about difficulties in dealing with larger amounts of material.
By discussing their own and other people's texts, students reflect on their own writing practice and sharpen their critical judgment.
Isabelle Lehn (e.g. Frühlingserwachen, Die Spielerin) studied general rhetoric and ethnology and also completed a degree at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig, where she now also works as a lecturer.
The course is aimed at writers who are working on longer manuscripts and are hoping for feedback. The course will take place on Friday, April 17 & Saturday, April 18 from 10am-5pm.
Registration with a work sample of 6 standard pages and a (maximum) one-page short synopsis: maren.jungclaus@literaturbuero-nrw.de
