In the organizer's words:
The Schützenfest Hannover is the largest shooting festival in the world with a tradition dating back almost 600 years to the 15th century. With around 10 hectares of event space, over 200 showmen, numerous fairground rides and marquees, it offers an extensive program for around one million visitors. One of the highlights is the world's largest shooting parade, which marks the beginning of the festival.
