Science Slam Stuttgart!

In the organizer's words:

Entertaining—vivid—creative, and accessible to everyone

Stuttgart is one of Germany’s most important centers for science and innovation. With two universities, five other state-run colleges, approximately 60,000 students, and an exceptionally high concentration of research and development institutions, the state capital is the scientific hub of Baden-Württemberg.  The state’s research and development capabilities are concentrated here—ranging from mobility and mechanical engineering to aerospace, artificial intelligence, environmental technologies, and medical research.

Where research into tomorrow’s solutions takes place every day, science can also be entertaining. At the Science Slam Stuttgart, up-and-coming scientists show that research is anything but dry. In ten-minute presentations, they showcase their current projects in a creative, accessible, and humorous way. Complex topics become tangible, surprising insights lead to “aha” moments—and laughter is expressly encouraged.

Whether it’s the natural sciences, technology, medicine, or society: at the Science Slam, science comes to life and becomes accessible to everyone. In the end, the audience decides who delivers the most compelling presentation and takes home the title of Science Slam winner of the evening.
