Even as a teenager and during his training in the St. Thomas Boys' Choir in Leipzig in the 1970s and 1980s, Sebastian Krumbiegel stood out due to his rebellious nature. It made life interesting, but not necessarily easier. The upheavals that led to the end of the GDR came at just the right time for him. He seized the opportunity and became one of the first all-German pop stars with his band Die Prinzen. That made life even more interesting, but it didn't necessarily make it any easier. Krumbiegel has a habit of getting involved when and where it suits him. As a celebrity, this doesn't just make you friends. In his autobiography, he takes stock of his life from his (miraculous) childhood and youth in the GDR to the baseball bat years in the new Federal Republic of Germany to the present day. A life both in the limelight and in the eye of the shitstorm, a life as a pop star and as a citizen.
