Secret Garden

This summer, the Liebieghaus Garden will transform into a vibrant dance floor on four different dates as part of SECRET GARDEN. The popular Sundowner series returns again this year, enchanting visitors with a relaxed atmosphere, rousing DJ sets, and inspiring art. Between July and September, four events set against the unique garden backdrop of the sculpture collection invite you to enjoy electronic beats, club sounds, and techno under the open sky.

This year’s highlight acts include Benjamin Fröhlich, LUNA LUDMILA, and Frankfurt-based DJ Inkasso. Also making their debut are DJs from the queer collective“Mitte der Gesellschaft”and the“Ballroom – Code Queer”party series. At every event, art experts will provide fascinating background information on the Liebieghaus’s impressive collection as well as on the workof August Gaul. In addition, special tours of the restoration workshop and guided walks with the exhibition curators will offer exclusive insights into the museum and the collection. On each evening, there will be an English-language overview tour of the exhibition“Animals Are Just People, Too: Sculptures by August Gaul.”Madame Herrlichwill provide refreshing drinks to cool you down, and culinary delights will also await guests in the garden.
