“BREAK NORMS, SOUND LOUD”—that’s how the band Sex Shop Mushrooms describes itself.

The band, hailing from Pigalle, was founded in late 2022. With a mix of cutting guitar riffs, explosive drums, and a possessed, furious voice, Sex Shop Mushrooms is a band free from any artistic influences and dedicated to a movement that goes beyond the traditional codes of punk.

The band has performed on the main stage at Xtreme Fest and in several legendary Parisian clubs (La Boule Noire, Point Éphémère). After 80 shows across France, the band has captured the attention of a large part of the French grunge scene. With half a million streams, three singles featured in various editorial playlists (France & worldwide), and airplay on various radio stations, the band returns with their second album, characterized by a raw energy crafted for the stage and addressing diverse themes, both personal and social.

Mixed and mastered by Jack Endino (Nirvana, Soundgarden, Mudhoney), it transports the band directly into the listener’s space, combining aggressive sounds with a raw production.
