The Russian author Daniil Ivanovich Juwatschew, better known under his pseudonym Daniil Charms, a play on the words "charm" and "harm", turns the world upside down with his texts and holds up a mirror to the absurdity of reality. Poetic and funny, frighteningly topical and hilarious.

"I began to put the world in order, that's when art was born."

Under the direction of Imke Trommler, the 2nd year of the SfSH has created a theater evening with his texts. Conversations end unexpectedly, people fall out of windows for no reason, violence mixes with everyday communication, certainties shift. In a world in which freedom of expression is increasingly under threat, Charms brings us back to stubbornness in the best sense of the word and community with his texts.
