#shadesofwinter FilmFest 2023 - MÜNCHEN

The #shadesofwinter FilmFest is back - with the anticipation of winter in tow!

Between sea spray and glaciers in search of the Northern Lights, endless skiing possibilities below Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre in Patagonia, mental challenges in the course of a sports career and the permanent development of ideas, dreams and goals united in active outdoor life - this is the Shades of Winter FilmFest 2023, as usual extraordinary!

On December 10, 2023, the OPENING NIGHT of the 3rd #shadesofwinter FilmFest will take place at BMW Welt in Munich. The festival audience can look forward to a varied program, inspiring stage talks, lots of new and unexpected things:

Salzburg-based professional freerider and filmmaker Sandra Lahnsteiner-Wagner has brought along a film from Norway, ALIGNED, Between The Sea And The Sky, in which she sets off in search of auroras together with David Widauer from Tyrol. For the first time ever, multiple freeride world champion and world record holder Nadine Wallner from Vorarlberg, who spent a summer skiing in Patagonia with Italian Silvia Moser, will be showing her film INFINITA PATAGONIA. After competing in two Olympic Games for Norway, Hedvig Wessel decided to take up freeriding and in her film HEADSPACE gives us a deep insight into the world of a freeride pro. And in the film TRANS SALZBURGERLAND - NEUE WEGE, a new and exclusive festival version, former alpine ski racer and Olympic champion Viktoria Rebensburg embarks on a very special ski touring adventure together with Sabine Schipflinger and Sandra Lahnsteiner. As a special highlight, Kaddi Kestler, Cathi Schauer and Toni Schlosser, known from the successful BR podcast 'Bergfreundinnen', will provide previously unseen insights into their BIKEPACKING ADVENTURE TO PARIS at the #shadesofwinter FilmFest at BMW Welt in Munich, supported by the local community, the Munich Mountain Girls.

Program & schedule:

• from 18:00: Get-together with athletes and friends in the foyer of the auditorium at BMW Welt
• from 18:30: Film program part 1 in the auditorium
• approx. 19:45 - 20:15 Break & get-together
• from 20:15: Film program part 2 in the auditorium

Bistro Coopers will be open during the get-together and the break. Snacks and drinks may not be taken into the auditorium.

How to get there:
By car: BMW Welt has an underground parking garage that can be used for a fee. By public transport: BMW Welt is located directly at the Olympiazentrum subway station on the U3 subway line.
