Narges Shahid Kalhor is a director who wants to free herself from the spirit of her great-grandfather, whose name was "Shahid", the word for martyr, which has become too much of a burden in her new life in Germany. From Bavarian bureaucracy and therapy to dancing with Iran's past generations and their long shadows, she whirls through an intoxicating autofiction.
