Sheer Cerebral Power

The music of Sheer Cerebral Power is a reverence for the progressive rock of the 70s/80s/90s/00s. Heavily influenced by King Crimson, early 70's Genesis (the era of Selling England by the Pound), UK featuring Allan Holdsworth, Bill Bruford, John We;on, Eddie Jobson, Rush, Tool as well as a healthy dose of Zappa. All tracks are inspired by Muhammad Ali's great struggle in Zaire in 1974, hence titles like Boma Yé, SKIP, Sucker Punch'd etc... Azhar Kamal began the writing process in 2021 when he sat down and wrote the 15-minute suite "Sucker Punch'd" Opus 1 in E flat in 5/8 time. It forms the context of this band. All the songs have irregular meters, as even the rhythms of nature do not provide regular beats.

This music is muscular, exciting, challenging, and it is a challenge to play it. Guitar, bass, drums. The only keyboard instrument is the celesta, an instrument with a special timbre. The music of Sheer Cerebral Power sounds complex and accessible at the same time through the organic combination of irregular meters and harmonically more accessible chord structures. It seeks to push the boundaries of the building blocks of what constitutes pop music, taking the listener on a journey of discovery that constantly brings new aspects to light. Sheer Cerebral Power's "Sucker Punch'd" is a progressive rock symphony.

Tom Sue X Giovanni

Munich-based musician and producer Thomas Süßmair aka Tom Sue is an electronic live act. He will be presenting new material from his album, which will be released in the fall, inviting you on a journey to various stations in the electronic music cosmos. Giovanni Raabe's music is intuitive, organic and electronic - the focus is not on equipment, but solely on the creative core. Socialized as a drummer in local metal and hardcore scenes, he now concentrates on solo music for albums, films, installations, theater and performances. Together they try out new sounds and unreleased tracks live and try to have a good time.
