In the organizer's words:

Shit & Shine, the unusual project of Texas-based sound researcher Craig Clouse, returns with an uncompromising mix of noise, hard electronic structures and surprisingly danceable moments. Since his debut "You're Lucky to Have Friends Like Us" (2004), Clouse has stood for radical sound experiments, playful humor and a production style that defies all expectations. In the years that followed, Shit & Shine continued to develop - from industrial echoes and jazzy outbursts to technoid, funky and krautrock constructions.

With the album "Mannheim HBF", released in 2025, Clouse dedicates himself for the first time to our region, where he regularly visits friends. The track titles - including Handschusheim, Neckar Gemund, Mannheim Hbf and Heidelberg Hbf or Weisloch Waldorf - reflect his alienated, independent perspective on places in the Rhine-Neckar region. The result is a work that oscillates between cyclical repetition, finely crafted rhythms and raw energy.

His solo concert in Mannheim brings these impressions directly to the stage: You can dance, you can move, you can sit here and wait - but what Shit & Shine releases does not rush past you, remains and inevitably pulls you along. An evening for anyone who is open to the unpredictable.
