Musical diplomacy
Shkoon - that's Thorben Diekmann and Ameen Khayer, a Syrian-German duo that formed in Hamburg in 2015. Their music combines Arabic folklore, singing and rap with Western electronic music. With this danceable mix - what Shkoon calls "musical diplomacy" - the duo has enjoyed worldwide success and has been touring between Doha and Toronto, Beirut and Paris since December 2024 with their "Greater than One" tour.
