Save the date! On July 26 at 7 pm, you can be there live when dancer and choreographer Akeem Abidoye presents insights into his choreographic research. Born in Nigeria and raised in Germany, Akeem Abidoye explores the connection between West African dance tradition and urban culture during his two-week residency together with two dancers. In addition to reflecting on the cultural and historical significance of the West African dance tradition, the choreographic search will question how traditional West African dance styles have evolved in an urban and contemporary context and in the urban environment. After the performance, the three artists look forward to an exchange with the audience!
