Sibel Schick – Mein Körper, wessen Entscheidung?
In the organizer's words:
Society is shifting to the right, and the reproductive body is becoming a political issue. Sibel Schick offers a brilliantly insightful analysis of why our bodies should not be used as political tools.
Sibel Schick has experienced firsthand that abortions can save lives—and she also faced significant opposition before the life-saving procedure could be performed. But bodily autonomy is not a private matter: whether and under what conditions we choose to have children is highly political. Reproductive freedom is now criminalized; states dictate access to medical care—even in Germany. In a moving and combative way, Schick demonstrates that true justice lies in collective liberation.
