Signal to Noise (Forced Entertainment)

PICK OF THE DAY
You cannot miss this event.
In the organizer's words:

In "Signal to Noise" by Forced Entertainment, the stage becomes a hallucinatory expanse across which lonely figures drift, dance, run, jump and crawl - isolated, but always united in the context of possible and impossible stories. There is dance and confrontation, chance encounters and drunken wandering, moments of confusion, shared joy, silence and delirium. Cinematic, atmospheric music with slowed-down classical strings, beats, trumpets and birdsong, interspersed with AI voices that repeat Tim Etchells' text, his thoughts, speeches, hopes and questions. And in a world where there is neither day nor night, the performers move their lips to the stories and feelings of these disembodied, never embodied speakers.

"Signal to Noise" was conceived on the occasion of the group's 40th birthday and is a theater piece of Forced Entertainment at its best. A powerful mix of performance magic and freehand deconstruction, a simple idea pushed to its limits, opening up a unique space for the audience's thoughts, laughter and reflection.
