Skin (Subst.): The living boundary between inside and outside.

In this artistic research, the dancers embody generative AI videos and their misinterpretations of human movement.

Lyri and her team investigate the "metabolism" of machine image generation: when an AI creates an image, it starts in pure noise - random pixels - and gradually searches for meaning until a coherent image emerges.

Inspired by this process, the performers move between chaos and order, between the statistical and the concrete, between the recognizable and the almost-known. They continuously dismantle and recompose their limbs and their voices in space.

Even if you would sometimes like to believe otherwise, at the end of the day:

You are your body.
You have begun - and one day you will end.
In between, you are subject to gravity and attraction.
You long for someone to hold your head and feel a tingling sensation between your fingertips.

Through the lens that looks at you, you hope to learn something new about yourself. In the hall of mirrors, you can discover unfamiliar reflections. You desperately want to understand what it means to be human - through the non-existent eyes of the machine.

You try to connect your embodied collective consciousness to what you call the internet. You swim against entropy and seek meaning in the static noise and constant friction that is your life.
