SINGER SONGRIDER #2

In the organizer's words:

Where are Bremen's singer songwriters? And what moves them? In times when the pandemic seems so far away again and new big issues have taken its place. What reassures them? The constancy of the Bremen drizzle?

Singer Songrider wants to give space to people who pour their everyday lives into words and sounds. And who we may have already met in the bakery around the corner because they live just two streets away.

After the very first evening in May, we now continue when the mushrooms sprout.

This time with:

RAW

"I'm interested in the essence of a song, the musical reduction makes you realize what you can actually leave out": Suzannah leaves out a lot. Chords or drums, for example. So much, in fact, until it's just a song that sometimes clings touchingly to individual notes. Arranged and sung together with bassist Meike Schaub, RAW unfolds little miniatures.

SEBASTIAN WINDHORST

Sebastian Windhorst from Nienburg writes unobtrusive songs with laconic, cliché-free German lyrics. He makes everyday reflections his subject matter and seeks truth in allusion. With an electric guitar, he meanders between folk, chanson and melancholy country.

HANNES WEYLAND

Starting with German-language chamber pop à la Niels Frevert, the EP Fluchtwagen was released in 2016. This resulted in many live acts, including together with a string trio.
