SIT IN* by Bona_Berlin

In the organizer's words:

The Hamburg artist Bona_Berlin is coming to the Urbanshit Gallery in Ottensen for SIT IN* . The title is to be understood quite literally, as the artist is presenting a limited series of 12 hand-painted chairs for the first time.
There are also large-format paintings, a new series of sculptures and works on paper. The exhibition deliberately blurs the boundaries between art, interiors and the bright colors for which Bona_Berlin is known. The event takes visitors on a unique journey into the colorful world of the well-known street artist.

Bona_Berlin is known for her expressive paintings in bright colors. The artist has never limited herself to just one medium for her pictures, but has developed her art in dialog with the material and the space. In recent years, interior design and interiors have repeatedly played a role, as in her latest installation for the Villa Viva Hamburg, the newly opened Viva Con Agua hotel.

The Hamburg-born artist has been active in the street art scene for more than 15 years and brings her art to the streets around the globe. Head to head, so to speak: the artist paints them over and over again. Just in different colors, shapes, changing styles and materials. They may sometimes resemble each other, but each one is unique - just like us "humans".
