Free travel lecture as part of the Globetrotter Midsummer Event
Florian and Lisa Smit have been traveling to Scandinavia for years, where they photograph millennia-old glaciers, mystical forests, vast fjell landscapes and dancing northern lights. But above all, it is the wild animals that make their hearts beat faster: Musk oxen, reindeer and Arctic foxes become real works of art when they appear in front of their lens in the summer evening light or in winter at -15°C.
Florian and Lisa have an eye for natural wonders large and small, be it the view from a sleeping bag up to the starry sky, the play of colors in weathered rock or butterflies and moths dancing in the mist. They take their time and look for what lies hidden. To do this, they live in a VW bus, in a tent and even in a small wooden hut in the middle of a hilly landscape overgrown with gnarled trees.
