Skipback - Debüt Tour 26 // support: Yoshi-Sukku

Breakbeats, low end and concise lyrics - live bass music ... the music of Skipback promises all this and is based on legends of the club scene such as The Prodigy, Goldie, Wookie, MJ Cole, Burial, The Bug, Kode9 and many more. Genres such as jungle, garage, dubstep, jazz and hip-hop are fluidly processed and presented as a coherent live experience.
Skipback forms a quartet for the first time: the founding duo, consisting of Arthur Kohlhaas (synth/production) and Lukas Heckers (hybrid drums), is joined by pianist Svetlana Marinchenko and MC The Funkologist.
The EP "Fractures", released in 2026, offers an insight into the band's sound language. How this is then implemented live is illustrated in the studio performance for Skanka. The unexpected arises between control and risk. This tension drives Skipback forward: drum fire, build-up, drop, synth melancholy, vocal hype. This state in which sound, body and space merge and the ground begins to shake under your feet is incomparable - if you share this view, you've come to the right place!
