SKYBIRDS is a rousing dance musical that inspires visually, musically and through dance: it tells the inspiring story of the seagull Icarus, who lands on an island where the birds have almost completely forgotten how to fly. When the newly appointed flock leader, Blackbeak, seizes power, flying is banned altogether. Anyone who flies or tries to learn will be cruelly punished. But Icarus' courage and belief in freedom and flying change everything......
Over 50 dancers from modern, jazz and heels to hip-hop and impressive video projections bring this magical show to life! SKYBIRDS is a unique production of the Performing Arts Studios in Munich together with professional dancers from the Munich dance/theater and musical scene (e.g. Staatsballett, Gärtnerplatz) and choreographies by Dolores Dujak, Sylvie Göttling and Ilia Sarkisov. Created by studio owner/director Nunzio Lombardo and composer Andrea Pozzoli, this musical promises to be an unforgettable experience.
