SLOPE
In the organizer's words:
OnOctober 9, 2026,SLOPEwill be comingtoHamburg for a show atBahnhof Pauli. The band from Duisburg is one of the most exciting representatives of the modern crossover sound and is known for a mix of hardcore, funk, hip-hop, grunge, and the raw energy of the late ’80s and early ’90s.
Shaped by the German hardcore underground scene, SLOPE developed an uncompromising live approach early on: intensity, groove, and authenticity are clearly at the forefront. Even their early EPs,*Helix*(2014) and*Losing Grip*(2017), made it clear that the band is less concerned with perfection than with physical directness and movement—both musically and visually.
With their debut album*Street Heat*(2021), SLOPE consciously opened themselves up to new influences. Funky basslines, rap passages, and heavy riffs met a playful approach, without denying their hardcore roots. At the same time, the band developed a unique visual concept featuring a DIY aesthetic, homemade sets, and a strong connection between music, art, and performance.
The next step in their evolution came with*Freak Dreams*(2024). The album showcased a more mature, focused band that further refined its sound while simultaneously opening itself up to a broader audience. International festival appearances and tours with well-known acts underscored this move into a professional setting. Groove and physical intensity remained central elements, complemented by more precise song structures and clear hooks.
In 2026, SLOPE released*The Same Kids Just Louder*, their most consistent statement to date. The new album brings together everything the band stands for: repetitive grooves, distinctive riffs, rap parts, funk influences, and a direct, physical approach. Less distraction, more focus—without losing their playful spirit.
