In the organizer's words:
Elena, a dance instructor, and Dovydas, a sign language interpreter, meet at a dance class for deaf and mute teenagers and quickly find a connection. The attraction is strong, but despite his deep romantic feelings, Dovydas reveals that he does not feel sexually attracted to Elena—he is asexual.
With great sensitivity, the film shows how the couple tries to build a happy relationship nonetheless, with love and a kind of intimacy that is possible beyond conventional norms. *Slow* serves as a reflection on closeness, mutual respect, and the different ways of experiencing love.
