We certainly don’t want to let International Smurfs Day pass us by, so we’re awarding DJ Linus the title of Papa Smurf for one night. Joining him will be Smurfette Miri Maroni and “Music Smurf” S.Matt. Don’t worry, you three—you don’t have to paint yourselves blue. Though that would be pretty funny! Anyway, Miri Maroni, a true-blue Munich native, will be the first to bring some color to the party. Classical music and the piano were her first encounters with music. But her curiosity drove her further, so she traded the keys for tracks at the Sound Salon and has since been regularly offering sonic expeditions ranging from gentle melodies to driving rhythms.

S.Matt has been a pro at delivering danceable beats for a quarter of a century. He loves combining ethereal techno, deep house, indie dance, and tech house, getting the club crowd wild or pushing the Permanent Ton livestream to its limits. Next up is the dad from Schlumpfhausen—DJ Linus. The grand seigneur of the turntable guild not only teaches up-and-coming DJs at “Musicversity,” but also once a month at the “Advanced Vinyl Workshop” at Sound Salon—where Miri Maroni was first converted. So let’s take a closer look at him in action again today.
