Because as much as SOLENCE combine elements of metal, electro, alternative and pop, the Swedish group also appeals to a wide range of personalities with their universal message. The band - Markus Videsäter [vocals], David "Viking" Vikingsson [drums], David Strääf [guitar] and Johan Swärd [keys] - is equally suited for the mosh pit as it is for Coachella, gathering a familial energy to be shared as loud as possible. Having quietly generated more than 200 million streams, their third album and Hopeless Records debut "hope is a cult" welcomes everyone who comes near.

"We want to build this family around positivity, hope and the belief that you can change things," says Markus. "We want you to forget everything that bothers you when you listen to this album. When we do our job, the listeners feel like they are a part of it. When you go to a SOLENCE show, you have a good time, so hope is a cult for us."

According to the story, the band was formed in high school in Norrkoping, Sweden with Johan and Viking. "They're all a year older than me and David talked me into going to their school and eventually joining the band," Markus recalls. "It was all part of his plan!" In between writing and recording for the band, David and Markus made waves in pop music, working on a variety of projects for multi-platinum, award-winning megastars. As a songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist, David's discography grew to include"Don't Cry For Me" by Alok, Martin Jensen and Jason Derulo as well as multiple contributions to Bebe Rexha's "Better Mistakes" and more. Markus has since collaborated with artists such as Bahjat, Violet Skies and Nova Miller to name a few. SOLENCE burst onto the world stage with " Brothers" [2019], followed by "Direction" [2020] and "Deafening" [2021]. Along the way, fan favorites "Heaven" and "Good F**king Music " each surpassed 19 million Spotify streams, while "Animal In Me " surpassed the 21 million Spotify stream mark. Outburn praised "Deafening" by Alternative Press and others as "a groundbreaking work of possibility, perseverance and positivity". In 2022, they expanded the vision for what would become "hope is a cult" like never before.

"This was our most well thought out piece of work from start to finish," Markus explains. "We crafted it from over 150 ideas into a work of art of 12 songs."

"We're very excited to build this new chapter with the fans," says Markus. "We can't wait to play live and travel. We're creating a new rock experience. We want to play arenas. We want to become one of the biggest bands in the world. But it starts with the family. As much as we want to make good music, we also want to have a good time."
