Solo! Duo! Festival - Works by Camille Saint-Saëns

Flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn, trumpet, trombone and tuba - the whole panorama of wind instruments in one concert!

Students present exclusively works by Camille Saint-Saëns (1835-1921), who remained inquisitive, productive and open to new approaches into old age. Instruments that were less frequently given a solo role in concert life were particularly close to his heart. Time and again, he wrote chamber music for unusual instrumentations and specifically expanded the repertoire of individual wind instruments.
