In the organizer's words:
Born as a side project in Iceland's icy expanse in 1995, SÓLSTAFIR quickly became the voice of a generation that oscillates between black metal, post-rock and the raw beauty of their homeland. With each album, they crumbled away the walls of the genre until only pure expression remained: music as a mirror of the soul.
Their sound is a stream - sometimes as gentle as a breeze over icy rocks, sometimes as powerful as a storm that captures the barrenness of the landscape in sound. Melancholy and anger, silence and explosion: SÓLSTAFIR combine what cannot be combined.
"Hin helga kvöl" is their most intimate work to date. Shorter songs, a denser atmosphere, an album that not only describes loneliness, but makes it tangible. Here the light shines through the cracks of darkness - and shows that healing is always a struggle.

LAZAR from Hamburg have been forging instrumental post-rock of breathtaking dynamics since 2015: distorted riffs, noisy walls of sound and day-bright harmonies collide in a field of tension between rage and euphoria. After the EP "Yuma" (2020), their debut album "STOP DANCING IT WON'T PASS" was released in 2024 on Poly Unique - recorded at the Tonmeisterei Oldenburg. A work that pushes the boundaries of the genre with complex structures and raw energy, drawing the listener into a maelstrom of gloom and hope.
