Friedrich Dürrenmatt's worldwide success tells the story of Claire Zachanassian, a billionaire who returns to her impoverished home village, where her heart was once broken and her honor stolen. She promises prosperity for all - and demands murder in return.

With the dry humor of a connoisseur of human nature and the profundity of a soul-searcher, the author questions the morality of the individual and paints a picture of a society that threatens to flout all the rules in comically abysmal scenes.

The ENSEMBLE PERSONA is a Munich-based, professional ensemble of freelance theater artists whose outstanding treatment of language and clear, unpretentious style of performance live up to their conviction: to convey the wealth of wisdom of great texts in all their profound, poetic and humorous facets in a way that is understandable and emotionally moving for the audience.

The event takes place open air on the open space at the Rosengarten, whatever the weather!
