This vacation program inviteschildren ages 5 to 10on an exciting journey of discovery through the exhibition “Ready for the Island.” Along the way, we’ll explore some big questions: Why are people drawn to faraway places? What do they hope to find there? And how do places change when suddenly so many people are on vacation at the same time?

​And in the end, we ask ourselves: Do we actually bring something back from our travels—not just in our suitcases, but also in our minds?

To wrap things up, the children get creative themselves: In a small craft activity, they capture their thoughts on travel and take a personal memento home with them.
