Sommerfest der GfZK – Galerie für Zeitgenössische Kunst

It's summer! And we're looking forward to celebrating this with you - with exhibition tours, workshops, a flea market and more. The museum café 292 Karangahape Road and the Backstein bakery, among others, will be providing a varied culinary offering. Just around the corner from us, students from the Academy of Visual Arts will be showing their work at the Diploma Tour. Come along and enjoy the day with us!

Program:

• Saori Kaneko will transform our courtyard into a paper coloring studio. In an Orizome workshop, various patterns will be created from specially produced color by folding. (Ori = folding, Zome = dyeing)
  
• Our art education department invites you to print materials in the workshop room. Various prints can be made here using the screen printing process.
  
• The new exhibitions Susanne Kriemann: Knochen, Pech, Natternkopf (Being a Photograph) and Ronny Aviram: Werde ich zu einer Salzsäule as well as the collection exhibition Spielräume open their doors.
  
• In the garden you can offer your dusty treasures at our flea market.
  
• The Land in Sight initiative will be providing information about its commitment to culture in rural areas in front of the Backstein bakery.
  
• And, of course, the table tennis table will once again be waiting for an exciting match or two.
