Sommersounds im Garten: Batacuda Trio
In the organizer's words:
The Batacuda Trio was born out of a love for Latin American music. It all began with an exploration of Brazilian bossa nova, but samba and salsa sounds were soon added to the mix. The band incorporated the intersections between Brazilian music and the expanded harmonies of North American jazz, expanding their repertoire in this direction. The program is rounded out with a few rock and pop touches.
Due to the rather unusual instrumentation—bass clarinet, piano/organ, and drums—a suitable arrangement is crafted for each piece. The musical collages are presented by:
Jonny Pickel – bass clarinet
Gerhard Zintel – Keyboards
Robin(ho) Pürschel – Drums
If the weather is good, the open-air concert will take place outside in the Kulturladen’s garden. If it rains, the concert will be held inside the Kulturladen.
