A devilishly cheerful summer theater production in the Beyerhaus courtyard

Mephisto is treating himself to some time off. For one summer, he leaves Auerbach’s Cellar and mingles with the people. He actually wants to enjoy life outside of Hell. But of all places, it’s in the Beyerhaus courtyard that his vacation turns into a turbulent adventure.

With plenty of wit, charm, and a twinkle in his eye, Mephisto finds himself caught up in people’s stories, both big and small. It’s all about love, longing, missed opportunities, a mysterious elixir of youth, and all those moments that make life so wonderfully unpredictable.

There’s just one catch: the audience gets to have a say.

Time and again, improvisation takes the lead. This gives rise to scenes with surprising twists that happen only on that one evening and unfold live before the audience’s eyes.

Look forward to devilishly good entertainment under the open sky, as well as balmy summer evenings where every performance is unique.

In the courtyard, you’ll also find devilishly delicious food and drinks available on-site to complement your evening at the theater.
