Songs und Soundwelten Catwalski: Release Party zum Soloalbum „Upside Down“

For twenty years, guitarist, singer and songwriter Mihau Kowalski has been delivering hits to an enthusiastic Bonn audience with loud amplifiers and distorted guitars as the frontman of the indie band "Luke I'm Your Dad" together with his two comrades-in-arms.

But oh how good, or rather a pity that nobody knows... that his artist portfolio doesn't end there. As "Catwalski", he has worked on further finely crafted and multi-layered songs, which remain pleasantly and acoustically in the ear as if they had always been there. The album "Upside Down" is the result of long, painstaking and painstakingly detailed work, with 11 songs that open up a universe all of their own to the listener in terms of content, depth and originality. The feeling of being "upside down", that everything is somehow sometimes upside down in life, runs like a common thread through the diverse story repertoire of this artful and detailed modern yet nostalgic work. Catwalski worked with various small instruments, samples, acoustic guitar and voice and, of course, special musical guests were not to be missed.

The talented tunesmith will perform the album on Saturday, 11.07.2026 at the Atelierbühne Bonn. And he's not alone again:
Markus Fischer on drums and percussion and Björn M. Klaus on double bass will be at his side, so you can look forward to a musically high-quality, acoustic evening - and of course purchase the album.

A reason to celebrate together in joy and melancholy with the band and visitors, because: Even if it is Catwalski's very personal vision and version - everyone knows the feeling of being "upside down" and will get their money's worth at this intimate event.

freda is not reinventing the singer/songwriter wheel and has no interest in doing so. Perhaps it's simply not possible to come up with the hottest shit or the mouthpiece of a generation if your first musical influences included Danny Dziuk, Stoppok and Rio Reiser and you have a relatively unironic love of pop. Instead, freda writes minor-key lyrics with a few major chords that still allow some optimism to shimmer through the winter depression.
