There are so many peaks in this country - and we're not just talking about mountains here: the highest swing in Europe, the largest walk-in wine bottle in Saarland, the longest summer toboggan run on this side of the Rhine. Superlatives wherever you look - and they all want to be climbed, conquered, overcome.
In a world that divides everything and everyone into winners and losers, every small town has to have the biggest something and every person has to surpass themselves. But if strength is only an end in itself, isn't every peak also a low point?
While high performers break records in the gym, Sonja Pikart discovers the poetry of weakness. While "strong" men eat up the planet in their hunger for power, she finds romance in friendships. But then, at the very top of a pull-up, she slips into an existential crisis of meaning. And when someone shouts "You're so strong!" at the weakest moment of her life, Sonja makes an action figure of herself and realizes: Now is the time to feel immortal!
