Language version: OmeU
More than a century after the genocide of the Ovaherero and Nama, Germany and Namibia are still struggling for remembrance, responsibility and justice. The colonial legacy and its consequences still have an impact today. While political agreements such as the Joint Declaration are negotiated, the voices of the descendants often remain unheard. The film focuses on precisely these perspectives, accompanies those affected, reveals the tensions behind diplomatic processes and poses the pressing question of what just reappraisal and genuine reconciliation can mean.
