A Manatee Kid is a young band from Hamburg that was founded in the summer of 2024 by four friends (Moe, Dario, Mara and Jannik). Inspired by the peaceful elegance of the manatee, the band sees itself as a lovingly chaotic collective that makes music with a lot of heart and enthusiasm. Their style cannot be clearly pigeonholed: elements of indie, folk, rock, soul and pop merge to create a soft, sometimes playful, sometimes melancholic sound.

On June 20, 2025, the band released their first single entitled "Wenn Wir Uns Lieben". With its delicate vocals and sensitive instrumentation, the song conveys exactly what A Manatee Kid 's sound is all about: Closeness, warmth and a certain poetic depth that doesn't impose itself, but almost casually creeps into the heart.
