Soundgarten - Ven Rover und Kabila

The summer concerts on the grounds of Rock Cyclus Bremerhaven, Am Fleeth 1, continue on Sunday, August 2. At the Soundgarten, two young bands from Bremerhaven and Bremen will take the open-air stage starting at 5 p.m. Women, who are otherwise underrepresented in rock music, also get their chance to shine here on the open-air stage.
Three of them, in fact, play a significant role at Ven Rover. The seven-piece Seestadt Combo performs exclusively original songs in the neo-soul and indie-pop genres. With groovy rhythms, soulful melodies, and a captivating stage presence, they draw the audience into the show. Kenyan singer Lady Masallah takes center stage with the band Kabila (Photo: Nicole Schaade). On stage, she exudes pure joy for life, singing sometimes in English and sometimes in Swahili, and captivates the audience with her infectious energy. The band surrounding her delivers a danceable mix of soul, pop, and reggae with a healthy dose of rock. The concert is supported by the Bremerhaven Cultural Fund. However, the grant is not enough to cover the costs. The audience members, however, determine the admission price themselves.
