SOUNDZZ Familienkonzert

The SOUNDZZ family concert series at domicil is primarily aimed at elementary school-aged children. But of course, people of all ages—young and old alike—are welcome to attend the concerts. The concerts, featuring jazz bands and intercultural music projects, last about 60 minutes and take place in the main hall. The band usually doesn’t perform high up on the big stage, but rather right at the same level as the children in front of the stage. If they want, the children can sit or lie down on rugs or chairs right next to the band, or even move around. There are interactive activities—designed with music education in mind—as well as movement games and drawing activities. After the concerts, there’s always an opportunity to interact directly and easily with the artists, and usually the chance to try out an instrument that was just played. Doors open at 3:30 p.m.

The series is organized by members of the sponsoring association, domicil Dortmund e.V.
