Spätcafé im Glockenhof: Paint it pink – Lesung von Britta Künkel
In the organizer's words:
What happens when an unsuccessful artist, a freedom-loving young woman, a 94-year-old slob and a dog get into a rickety pink truck together? Britta Künkel's novel "Paint it Pink" tells the story.
The story begins as a spontaneous escape from everyday life and develops into a road trip across Germany that is as chaotic as it is touching. Between mishaps, detours and unusual encounters, the story is about friendship, courage, new beginnings and the question of how to find your own way.
However, Britta Künkel doesn't just read from her book. Her readings are personal, lively evenings full of stories, background information and surprising anecdotes about writing. With a lot of humor, self-irony and heart, she takes her audience behind the scenes of her characters and tells how a spontaneous idea finally became a novel.
The author lives in North Rhine-Westphalia and works as an artist, editor, publisher, podcaster and radio presenter. Large parts of "Paint it Pink" were written during her stays in the Lüneburg Heath - a region that continues to inspire her to this day.
