The SPEAK OUT Festival at the MuseumsQuartier Vienna brings together leading voices from science, business and politics to discuss key issues of the climate crisis and transformation and to make concrete solutions visible.

Topics

Bestselling author Marc Elsberg will kick off the event with a keynote speech on the future of systems. Key levers of transformation will be discussed in high-caliber panels: The increasing demand for energy due to artificial intelligence and the role of electricity, infrastructure and nuclear energy will be discussed. Other key topics include renewable energies (with representatives from PV Austria, among others), the future of mobility (Vienna Airport and eFuel Alliance) and specific consumer decisions such as the purchase of used e-cars (Aviloo).

There will also be a focus on social issues: behavioral economist Thomas Brudermann will show why people often stand in their own way when it comes to climate protection. The program will be supplemented by discussions on blackout scenarios and the future of food.

The climate relevance lies in the combination of knowledge, practice and decision-making competence: visitors will gain insights into technologies, political framework conditions and individual options for action for a sustainable future.
