In our workshop you will become a game designer! We make our own prototypes and test them together. You design your cards with drawings, pictures and photos - according to your style!

For everyone aged 10 and over. Can also be used with a Leipzig Pass!

Develop your own card or board game!

In this five-day workshop, we will look at various existing card and board games. We will explore how they work, what we like about them and what rules we would like to change. You can also bring one or two of your favorite card games!

We'll learn what a game mechanic is, why it doesn't require math, and how small rule changes can change entire games. You will develop and test your very own game, either on your own or in a team.

To make sure your game looks good, we will learn basic skills in image editing and layout. You will also have the opportunity to create your own drawings on paper or digitally.

What do you need to pay attention to so that a game card not only looks good, but is also easy to read and practical? What basic rules should you follow when inventing games? Why are game rules important? What is a good game? We will answer all these questions and more together!
