Spring Awakening

In the organizer's words:

Spring is here!!!

At Spring Awakening it's high time to throw off all the emotional baggage of the winter months together with 3 great local FLINTA* bands, lose yourself in the music and have a great time together!

Come to the Spring Awakening at TiK - be there or be square!

Line-up:
Salemn: 19:00 - 19:45

With shimmering indie synthpop, Salemn takes you into a dreamy sound universe in which electronic textures, excited guitar licks and catchy pop melodies merge into an introspective atmosphere. As the non-binary producer and creative head of the project, Salem Teal develops songs that capture queer-personal narratives and romantic-apocalyptic everyday life. Uncomfortably honest and daringly direct. Each track is a sound microcosm in its own right: sometimes eccentrically fragile, sometimes nervously explosive, infused with subtle sound ideas and subtleties. After Salemn spent months in the studio working on their second EP, which will be released in May, these new songs are literally crying out to touch listeners in intimate clubs.

hale01: 20:00 - 20:45

hale01 - just two roommates who happen to make music.

The newcomer indie pop duo from Heidelberg: Hanna and Lea are behind this name. The two young musicians met at the beginning of their studies through their siblings and promptly decided to form a flat share. After 5 years of being flatmates and occasionally making music in the kitchen, they started the band project hale01 in 2023. Their English-language lyrics range from autobiographical self-reflection to everyday anecdotes and metaphorical excursions into Greek mythology - just about anything you can talk about while cooking. The two voices come together in melodic two-part harmony and create a musical dialog that moves somewhere between the influences of folk, pop and even musical settings. An evening with the two of them is an invitation to their living room full of color and honest feelings.

ELAJ: 21:00 - 21:45

Between moving boxes and fairy lights, Elaj from Heidelberg writes songs in a 13sqm shared room. From a duo project, a band has now formed around songwriter Elaj, who gets the stage and all the hips in the room shaking. At the forefront of Elaj's music is a duet of guitar melodies and vocals that winds its way around prickly questions of queer identity and hearts in all states of aggregation. The band's warm and rhythmic sound is unleashed in dynamic live sets: bouncy, full of guitars and emotionally charged.

Elaj's debut EP "Zaubern" was released on 14.11.25 - five songs that could hardly be more different and yet follow the same inner compass: sometimes melancholic with cello, sometimes stirred up by electric guitar riffs, but always radically open and disarmingly honest.

Elaj is part of the 13th generation of Bandsupport Mannheim, was on stage at this year's Maifeld Derby and has already played as support for Ceci, LIN and Juli Gilde.
