Provocative, off-kilter guitars, massive walls of sound, sudden eruptions, and stripped-down directness, all woven together by an untamable, playful voice — Städtische Manieren create music that challenges, constantly reinvents itself, and sticks in your head for a long time. They blend modern experimental rock with ’90s alternative, avant-pop, and a dash of post-punk. In doing so, they make it their mission to constantly break existing patterns and forms and weave them anew. Live, it gets under your skin. You’re hurled from one soundscape to the next—no seatbelt, no standing still. Your body wants to dance but doesn’t know how. Until you forget everything you’ve learned so far and just let yourself go.
