Guided tour "Architecture and Politics: A Walk from the Behrensbau to the State Parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia," Sundays from 2 to 3 p.m.

The Behrensbau, future seat of the House of History of North Rhine-Westphalia, looks back on an eventful past that is closely linked to the history of North Rhine-Westphalia.

As the new headquarters of Mannesmannröhren-Werke AG, the building was designed by the important architect Peter Behrens in 1910 and was ready for occupancy as early as 1912. Today, the building in the heart of the state capital Düsseldorf, centrally located between the Rhine, the government district and the old town, is considered an icon of administrative architecture.

Currently, the exhibition "110 Years of Behrensbau. Architecture and History" is currently on display at the historic site. Those interested in learning more about the architecture of the buildings surrounding the Behrensbau can take part in the free guided tour "Architecture and Politics: A Walk from the Behrensbau to the North Rhine-Westphalian Parliament."

The walk is offered on Sundays at 2 p.m. Stops on the guided tour are:

• Behrensbau (starting point of the tour)
• Mannesmann high-rise building
• KIT/art in the tunnel
• State Chancellery/Landeshaus
• Villa Horion(House of Parliamentary History)
• North Rhine-Westphalia State Parliament
